What is this Modality: The R&R Reset
by Richard L. Harrison, MSOM, LMT, ACBT

If you’ve ever walked out of a massage and thought, “Wow, my muscles feel looser, but I’m still a little ‘off’ somehow,” you’re not alone. That’s because tension doesn’t just live in your muscles, it lives in your nervous system, your joints, and even in the way your energy moves through your body.

That’s where the R&R Reset: Asian Bodywork Session comes in.

This isn’t your typical “lay there and get rubbed” massage. It’s a therapeutic blend of Tui Na, Shiatsu, Thai massage, and Amma therapy. Rooted in the wisdom of East Asian medicine; these traditions have been refined over centuries, and they work on two levels at once:

Physically: loosening tight muscles, improving circulation, opening up stiff joints.

Energetically: restoring flow along your body’s meridian pathways so your system feels balanced and steady again.

What’s actually happening during your session

Here’s the behind-the-scenes magic:

How is this different from a regular massage?

Because we’re not just chasing muscle tension! We’re addressing how that tension got there in the first place. Maybe your shoulders are tight because of posture, but maybe they’re also holding onto emotional stress or fatigue. By working with both your structure and your energy, the R&R Reset helps your body shift out of “fight or flight” mode and into a more grounded, restorative state.

You can stay fully clothed, the pace is tailored to your comfort level, and we pay extra attention to any areas that feel stuck. Whether that’s a stiff hip or a sense of overall heaviness in your system.

Who is this for?

If you’re dealing with chronic tension, limited mobility, fatigue, emotional stress, or you just feel “off,” this session can help you feel more like yourself again. It’s part mobility work, part nervous system reset, part energetic tune-up. Leaving you walking out feeling both relaxed and ready to move freely.
