Aloha and thank you for being part of our R&R ‘Ohana
We’re so grateful to have you with us as we grow. These first few months have had their ups and downs—working out the kinks (pun intended!) and finding our rhythm. But thanks to your support, our little clinic is really starting to feel like home.
At R&R Therapeutics, we’re building more than just a massage practice. We envision a space that offers individualized, holistic bodywork and serves as a community resource—a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for healing, learning, and connection.
Whether you're here for relaxation, recovery, or education, we’re honored to be a part of your wellness journey. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
With gratitude,
The R&R Therapeutics Team
Provider’s Perspective - Stress Awareness
Aloha friends,
Everyone seems stressed these days, so I thought this would be a great time to talk about something I see all the time in my practice… how stress affects the body, especially our muscles and joints. Over the years, I’ve had so many clients come in feeling like something must be “wrong” to explain their aches and pains like an injury, a diagnosis, a condition. But sometimes, the root cause is a lot simpler (and sneakier): it’s stress.
Let’s take a quick dive into how stress can sneak up on the musculoskeletal system and make us feel stiff, sore, and downright uncomfortable.
From Combat to Conditioning: How Massage Therapy Can Become a Health Essential

When you think of massage therapy, your first image might be plush robes, soft music, and a spa setting. But for Aaron Sanchez, a Marine Corps veteran, personal trainer, and lifelong athlete, massage has become far more than a luxury—it’s a lifeline.
Aaron's days are filled with movement. Between coaching clients at the UFC Gym in Honolulu, training in Muay Thai four to five times a week, and pursuing his Master’s degree while enrolled in flight school, he’s constantly pushing his body to perform. But it wasn’t until he left the military that he realized just how much that active lifestyle had taken a toll on him.
Massage therapy offers benefits for everyone, but for LGBTQ+ individuals, it can play an especially significant role in fostering physical and emotional well-being. At R&R Therapeutics, LLC, we are proud to create a safe and affirming space for all clients to experience the healing power of touch.
LGBTQ+ individuals may face unique stressors and challenges, such as societal pressures, discrimination, or the emotional toll of navigating their identity in a world that doesn’t always understand or embrace diversity. These stressors can manifest in the body as tension, chronic pain, or even anxiety-related conditions.
